Prototype coexist with jquery in tapestry5

在使用tapestry5時，prototype1.6.1 與jquery1.3.2共存，IE8出現錯誤javascript error...

javascript錯誤訊息如下：

...IE8 brings an error of "object not defined" at prototype.js line 4821...

試了很多怪招都沒有用，最後僅升級jquery1.4.2事情就解決了Orz，白白浪費這麼多時間!
